ジャンルを超えた総合展で国内外の作家や作品の交流と相互のさらなる研鑚を目的とする。
また、後進の育成や芸術文化の振興、発展を願い毎年１２～５ヶ国、約１１０名の出品。京都市美術館、市内ギャラリーで毎年開催。
The purpose of this exhibition is to promote the interaction of artists in Japan and abroad. The exhibition is held every year with the aim of developing personal relationships and to further the study and exchange of art culture.
12~15 countries and about 110 artists. It's held every year by Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art and city gallery.
京都芸術祭の歴史・沿革
趣旨・ジャンルを越えた総合展で、国内外の作家や作品の交流と相互の更なる研鑽を目的とする。また、後進の育成や芸術文化の振興、発展を願い毎年１２～５ヶ国、地域の作家が出品。
1987年。京都芸術祭は、音楽と美術の両部門で、新進芸術家の発掘と育成、並びに芸術文化の振興を目的として発足。当初美術部門は個展やグループ展の形で参画。
