はじめに
昨年（２０２２年度）はコロナ感染が終息に向かう中、京都市美術館別館二階にて開催されました。10/17～10/23の6日間、一階の展示会がキャンセルとなり単独開催ということになり集客が心配されましたが、来場者１２５２と大盛況に終えることができました。
出品作家１０３名 出典作品数１３７点
本年（２０２３年）は１２月１８日（火）～１２月２３日（日）、京都市美術館別館一階にて第３７回京都芸術祭美術部門 国際交流総合展を開催することになり、準備等を進めております。展示会と会場が美術館一階に代わり、新たな挑戦を意気込んでおります。
昨年度の展示会風景を編集、掲載しまいしたので、ご鑑賞をよろしくお願いいたします。
京都芸術祭 美術部門 国際交流総合展
Kyoto Art Festival- Visual Arts International Exchange &Exhibition
ジャンルを超えた総合展で国内外の作家や作品の交流と相互のさらなる研鑚を目的とする。
また、後進の育成や芸術文化の振興、発展を願い毎年１２～５ヶ国、約１１０名の出品。京都市美術館、市内ギャラリーで毎年開催。
京都芸術祭 美術部門 概要
| 1987 | 京都芸術祭は、音楽と美術の両部門で、新進芸術家の発掘と育成、並びに芸術文化の振興を目的として発足。当初、美術部門は個展やグループ展の形で参画。 |
| 1999 | 国際交流総合展として開催。 |
| 2000 | 出品者の増加と両部門の更なる発展を目指して、独自の運営となる。 |
| 2002 | 国際的な後援も得て、大作を中心として総合展となり、京都市美術館にて開催。 |
| 2020 | コロナ感染拡大防止のため、美術館開催を中止。インターネット上でのWEB展と市内４ヵ所の画廊支援による企画展を実施。 |
The purpose of this exhibition is to promote the interaction of artists in Japan and abroad. The exhibition is held every year with the aim of developing personal relationships and to further the study and exchange of art culture.
12~15 countries and about 110 artists. It's held every year by Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art and city gallery.
Kyoto Art Festival - Visual Arts Summary
| 1987 | Kyoto art festival was started for the purpose of encouraging new artists, and to promote culture in two areas - music and fine arts. The Visual Arts plans and promotes both private and group exhibitions. |

| 2000 | As was originally planned we held an exhibition to further develop our two target areas. |
| 2002 | With international support, the general exhibition, held at the Kyoto City Municipal Museum of Art focused on larger works. |
| 2020 | In consideration of the Corona Virus pandemic. This year the KAF exhibit will be held online in a virtual format. |
